Tucked away in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, our lodge offers an intimate and exclusive safari experience with just three luxurious tented suites and two private cottages. Each unit is secluded, ensuring privacy, tranquility, and a true connection with the wilderness.

The Lodge

A small intimate safari lodge that comprises of three luxurious tented suites. Each suite has a king size bed to sink into after a day of game drives and activities. Let our cool crisp linen encourage restful slumber. Our Giant Kingfisher Suite has two separate bedrooms which is ideal for families or couples travelling together.

Private Safari Cottages

Located 1km from the main lodge, Kingfisher Creek has 2 Private Safari Cottages. They are both two bedroom, 2 bathroom units that are ideal for the independent travellers who wants to safari on their own schedule.

Comfortably accommodating five to six guests, this unit features two spacious en-suite bedrooms.

Enjoy outdoor living with a private braai (BBQ) area , a firepit and dining space, where you can relax and take in the unique sounds of hyenas calling in the nearby bush.

Activities

This region has some of the best activity excursions available in the country and we are lucky to be able of offer our guests a wide selection of experiences to suit every guest’s needs. Most popular are the Safari Game Drives. With the Kruger National Park on our doorstep (entrance through the Orpen gate), experience the joy of viewing a wide range of birds & animals in their natural habitat.

Being surrounded by the Blyde River Canyon, there are many activities that explore and enjoy this area of natural beauty from Hikes to boat cruises there is something for everyone.

Prachtige plek! Wat een heerlijke plek. Gastvrouw Annie laat je je zeer welkom voelen. Alles wordt voor je geregeld. Super eten, vriendelijk personeel en een fijne luxe tent met zitje buiten. Is even rijden om er te komen, maar de rit zeker waard. Dank voor de mooie dagen.

Ein wunderschöner Ort mitten im Busch. Die Zimmer sind modern und gemütlich gestaltet, die Außendusche ist großartig. Der Pool ist toll in die Natur integriert. Der Restaurantbereich mit einer Feuerstelle ist sehr schön. Wir haben uns wahnsinnig wohl gefühlt, auch da die Besitzerin und ihre Familie sehr sympathisch sind und uns auch viele Tipps gaben. Ausflüge u Game Drive konnte man über die Unterkunft buchen.

The Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge is truly a hidden gem in the Greater Kruger area. Our lodge was modern, spacious, extremely clean and super comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor shower where you could hear the voices of nature while getting ready for the day.
