You can experience Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge in many different ways.
- Children under 2 staying at the cottage-Free.
- Children between 3-12 are charged at 70% of adult rate.

There is a R165 gate fee per vehicle per stay.
- 30% deposit to confirm reservation
- Balance due 30 days before arrival
- 100% payment upfront if arrival is within 30 days
- 1 night booking’s – payment in full on confirmation
- Cancel over 60 days – the 30% deposit less 15% is refundable
- Cancel between 60-30 days, the full deposit is non-refundable
- Cancel within 30 days, the full amount is non-refundable.
We are following the strict Covid protocols as directed by the South African Government & various tourism boards.
How to reach us?
You can get to Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge in many different ways.
Kingfisher Creek recommends all our guests use Airlink as their airline of choose when visiting Hoedspruit.
There are daily flights from Johannesburg (JNB) to Hoedspruit (HDS) with Airlink. There are also flights from Cape Town direct to Hoedspruit.
Kingfisher Creek recommends SWIFT Kruger Shuttles for your scheduled bus transfers. They will take you as far as Hoedspruit where you will then be collected and transferred to Kingfisher Creek Lodge.
We use a reputable transfer company to collect our guests from Johannesburg OR Tambo airport and bring the guests directly to the lodge. This is ideal for guests who do not want to share a vehicle or for guests who arrive after the scheduled shuttle buses leave OR Tambo airport.

Renting a car and driving here is an option favoured by many as you have the freedom to visit the various attractions as and when you want. All the major rental companies have vehicles in Johannesburg’s OR Tambo and in Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport.
No, we have had many guests arrive in the smallest of rental vehicles.
About the Lodge
We have a number of plains games roaming the reserve such as Zebra, Giraffe, Impala, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, warthogs. We also have buffalo , hyena, wild dogs and if you are really lucky you might catch a glimpse of one of the many leopards that frequent the area. Surrounding Guernsey Private Nature Reserve is Thornybush which is unfenced all the way to Kruger. On occasion our guests have seen elephant or lions on the fence line between us and Thornybush which is always special to see.
Our tented suites are well insulated. In addition to this, we have air-conditioning units installed for summer and these units have a heating setting for those cooler winter mornings .

About the Safari Cottages
All you need to bring is your food, drinks and ice.
We provide tea, coffee, sugar, bath products, linen for the beds and towels. We also provide a limited amount of wood.
Should you need more wood, we have bags available for sale.
